Project Overview

This project involved the creation of a Moodle platform for CCAA (a STEM education initiative), aimed at empowering K12 students with foundational skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The platform's goal was to deliver engaging and interactive content, while leveraging modern design elements and SCSS customizations for a professional and user-friendly experience.

Key Deliverables

1. Custom Branding & Thematic Design

  • Developed a minimalist design with a modern logo and color palette emphasizing STEM fields.
  • Customized the Boost Union theme to include a fixed, clean background and a professional layout for content.
  • Integrated welcoming and visually dynamic course tiles for Mathematics, Science, Technology, and Engineering to captivate young learners.

2. Course Structuring for STEM

  • Designed individual courses such as K12 Engineering, Mathematics, Science, and Technology, each with targeted objectives to foster curiosity and hands-on learning.
  • Enabled progress tracking to keep students motivated as they advance through course modules.

3. Interactive User Experience

  • Included visually appealing dashboards with course highlights and accessibility for easy navigation.
  • Implemented customizable SCSS for layout optimization, ensuring seamless interaction on all devices.

4. Performance Optimization

  • Used lightweight SCSS configurations to improve page loading times and maintain a smooth browsing experience.
  • Streamlined navigation across Home, Dashboard, My Courses, and Site Administration for administrators and users.
